SEC dominates ranking of top 25 college teams with most NFL talent

Over the last week, NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks has been ranking college football’s top 25 teams with the most NFL talent.

And the SEC dominates the ranking. Are you surprised?

Nine different SEC programs appeared in the ranking, with Alabama on top. The Tide’s uber-talented personnel of Landon Collins, Derrick Henry and Christion Jones, among others, helped the Tide have the most NFL talent in the country. LSU and Georgia both appeared in the top 10, with the Tigers ranked in the top five.

Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Auburn all were ranked in the top 20, with Mizzou bringing up the rear at No. 21.

During this past NFL Draft, the SEC led the country with 49 players drafted, more than any conference. LSU has been the biggest NFL factory in recent years and led the country with nine players selected. Alabama was right behind the Tigers with eight players drafted. The SEC also led the country with 11 players selected during the first round.
