There were plenty of eyeballs on the SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Florida Saturday. Television ratings were excellent.
Alabama beat Florida 29-15 in the high-rated college game of the season, according to CBS Sports. The average rating/share was 8.3/17, which is 8 percent better than a year ago when Alabama beat Missouri.

The numbers are down slightly from the 2012 and 2013 games. The 2013 game between Auburn and Missouri had an 8.6 rating and the huge 2012 game between Alabama and Georgia had a 9.8 rating,
