For 12 hours every Saturday, SEC fans can plop themselves on the couch and tune into football games all day. No one wants to waste their time watching a boring game, though, so we ranked all seven games that SEC teams are playing in this weekend (Auburn played Thursday night, while Ole Miss, Tennessee and Kentucky are off). These rankings are subjective, but factor in league impact, how exciting and how close the games will be. Games are ranked on a 1-5 Georgia Dome scale (the site of the SEC Championship Game), with 5 being the most watchable game and 1 being the least.

Mississippi State at No. 8 LSU: This one has the makings of a down-to-the-wire slugfest between one SEC West power and another on the fringe of contention. Both come equipped with strong defenses and the ability to make big plays on offense. The Tigers are definitely on upset alert.
Florida at No. 3 Alabama: Is Florida ready to compete in the SEC East? This will be a big barometer for them, going against an Alabama team that Nick Saban thinks can be playing better. Florida’s defense should keep them in this marquee CBS game.
3 Georgia Domes
No. 6 Texas A&M at SMU: I’ll say it again: Kevin Sumlin’s offense is too much fun for any Texas A&M games to be boring. The Aggies played a competitive game against Rice, despite the final score, so it’s possible to hang with A&M.
Indiana at No. 18 Missouri: Indiana is putting up points and giving up nearly as many, good news for a Mizzou team capable of scoring in a hurry thanks to Maty Mauk. The Hoosiers offensive line has been very good so far, so watching Markus Golden and Shane Ray do battle with them will be a blast for those who love the trenches.
Northern Illinois at Arkansas: The Razorbacks might be 14-point favorites, but the Huskies are the four-time defending MAC champions, and are only a few years removed from a BCS bowl. They’re one of the few teams that can keep up with the Hogs on the ground, averaging 325 rushing yards per game, so get ready for some smashmouth football.

No. 14 South Carolina at Vanderbilt: The Gamecocks haven’t shown they can stop anyone yet, but Vanderbilt might be the team they can shut down. It’ll be interesting to see how Carolina comes out after their big win, but there’s not much else to be excited about here.

Troy at No. 13 Georgia: The Bulldogs are coming off a heartbreaking defeat at South Carolina. They’ll no doubt want to take out their frustration on the Trojans of Troy, who come in at 0-3.
