For those who sought an inside look at how college football is played at the JUCO level, Netflix’s “Last Chance U” was the perfect show. It followed East Mississippi Community College for the 2015 season, which ended with quite a bang.
Several of the show’s star players were connected to the SEC in some form or fashion last season. Jeremy Franklin III transferred to Auburn from EMCC and put on a dazzling display with former Tigers offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee in attendance for one of his JUCO games. Georgia’s offensive line had its hands full against a Nicholls State defensive line that included Ronald Ollie and Marcel Andry, two prominent players on the show.
Ollie, in particular, had a close relationship with academic advisor Brittany Wagner, who helped keep the players on track in the classroom. On Friday, Wagner announced via Twitter the release date for the second season of Last Chance U.
Excited to finally announce that Last Chance U Season 2 will be released on Netflix on July 21!! #doyouhaveapencil @netflix @LastChanceU ✏️

Football is still a ways off, but fans can partially satiate that hunger once this new season drops.
