Interceptions can be a funny stat to track sometimes.

Florida’s Vernon Hargreaves III is considered one of the premier cover corners in all of college football.

What if I told you that one of the league’s linebackers has more interceptions than him during the last two seasons?

Taking it a step further, what if I told you that same linebacker has more interceptions than any of the world-class defensive backs that call the SEC home?

Both of those statements are true, thanks to South Carolina’s Skai Moore.

The junior linebacker has picked off seven passes in his first two seasons at South Carolina, making himself the man to beat on the SEC career interceptions list this season.

Former Ole Miss CB Senquez Golson, who picked off 10 passes in 2014 alone, is likely shaking his head at this.
