Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker is one of the older players in college football. He will turn 25 in January and be one of oldest players in the NFL Draft.

But Reese’s Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy has no such concerns about Hooker’s age and think it will not be a hindrance his draft stock.

With the transfer portal, more redshirts and the free COVID year there are an abnormal number of a 5th and 6th-year seniors in college football with even a few 7th-year seniors sprinkled in. Nagy is aware that there next few drafts and outgoing senior classes will be a little different than years past.

Hooker started his career at Virginia Tech, where he was part of the Hokies’ 2017 recruiting class. He transferred to Tennessee before the 2021 season.
