The SEC is loaded with freshmen who were stud recruits and other underclassmen who could leave early for the NFL, but here at Saturday Down South we don’t want to overlook the talented seniors who stuck around for a fourth season and are excelling for their teams. Here are five of the top performances from seniors during the fourth week of the SEC football season.

MALCOLM MITCHELL

The Georgia wide receiver continues to be on pace for the best season of his career after making five catches for 96 yards in the Bulldogs’ 48-6 thrashing of Southern on Saturday in Athens. Mitchell averaged nearly 20 yards per catch and picked up his third touchdown reception of the year. The Valdosta, Ga., product is proving to be a key part to one of the nation’s best offenses.

DAK PRESCOTT

The Mississippi State quarterback is still one of the SEC’s best. He completed 29 of 41 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs 17-9 victory against Auburn.  He didn’t throw an interception and also rushed six times for 14 yards.

KENTRELL BROTHERS

Missouri’s top linebacker is an absolute tackling machine. He had yet another double-digit tackle game, getting 10 before leaving the game with an injury. Brothers’ health is a major concern for MIssouri, which is already dealing with limited availability from its best offensive player, running back Russell Hansbrough. The Tigers can’t afford to lose Brothers.

TRA CARSON

Texas A&M didn’t try too hard to establish the running game against Arkansas and Carson finished with just 28 yards on eight carries, but he had a touchdown on the ground. The senior running back got involved in the passing game, making eight catches for 61 yards. It was the third time in four games he’s had more than 100 total yards.

JAYLEN WALTON

With the vaunted Rebels passing game dipping just a bit this week, the Ole Miss running back had a huge game in a win versus Vanderbilt. He rushed for a season high 133 yards on 21 carries and got into the end zone for the third time this season.
