On Wednesday morning, the John Mackey Award preseason watch list was released, naming 45 of the nation’s best tight ends.
Seven SEC tight ends made the cut — four from the SEC East and three from the SEC West.
The seven SEC tight ends on the Mackey preseason watch list are:
- Jeb Blazevich, Georgia
- C.J. Conrad, Kentucky
- Evan Engram, Ole Miss
- DeAndre Goolsby, Florida
- O.J. Howard, Alabama
- Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas
- Ethan Wolf, Tennessee
The winner of the 2016 Mackey Award, which was given to Arkansas TE Hunter Henry in 2015, will be announced on Dec. 7 and will be presented at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec. 8.
