LSU and Florida have long argued over who deserves the moniker of “DBU.” Though this weekend’s game between the two teams has been canceled, several NFL executives gave their opinions of which defensive backs were the best among both teams.

Three executives were complimentary of LSU safety Jamal Adams, including one who called him “one of my favorite players in the country” and “the ideal safety.” The exec also credited Adams for being able to play high, low or cover in the slot.

Another executive projected Adams as a “top-10 pick.” The third called him a “better version” of San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid.

Cornerback Tre’Davious White also received a favorable comparison to Adams and Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor.

“White is a more complete player than (Florida’s Teez) Tabor. I like (Jamal) Adams but I need to do more work on him. White has all of the tools: size, speed and ball skills.”
