Shane Beamer beats coaches like Ryan Day, Lane Kiffin and more to impressive feat

Shane Beamer has a good thing going at South Carolina, bringing the program to a place of relevancy that it has longed for for quite a while now.

Sine the start of the 2022 season, he has 6 wins over top 25 teams. That is more than some of college football’s most renowned and accomplished head coaches, including Ohio State’s Ryan Day, Ole Miss’s Lane Kiffin, LSU’s Brian Kelly and more.

The Gamecocks most recently knocked off the No. 24-ranked Missouri Tigers on Saturday, with the Gamecocks themselves ranked at No. 23 overall. It marked South Carolina’s second consecutive victory after the Gamecocks had taken down Oklahoma in their last game, 35-9 on Oct. 19.

South Carolina now holds a 7-3 overall record, and will be look to finish out the season on a high note with the potential to make a solid bowl game. That road will continue when Wofford comes to town on Nov. 23 at 4 p.m. ET and then finishing out against No. 17 Clemson on Nov. 30.
