Gibson suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Vanderbilt. He is a former walk-on with the Gamecocks who seemed to be on his way to cementing a role in the secondary.
The Gamecocks are hoping to improve to 7-3 on Saturday as they face the Florida Gators in Week 11. Last time out, they defeated Vanderbilt 38-27 to become bowl eligible and match their win total from 2021.
Kickoff from Gainesville is set for 4 p.m. ET.
