Shemar Stewart, former Miami target, says Hurricanes ‘won’t be getting any revenge’ in Week 2
The Texas A&M Aggies are set to play the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday. The teams squared off last season in College Station and the Aggies were victorious, winning 17-9.
Shemar Stewart is a sophomore defensive lineman for the Aggies and hails from Miami. Speaking with the media on Monday, Stewart told everyone that Miami “won’t be getting any revenge,” in this matchup.

Stewart acknowledged the hard work put in by the Canes, but doesn’t think it will matter when the Aggies roll into town.
As a prospect, Stewart was the top edge rusher in the 2022 class according to 247Sports Composite. The Hurricanes put up a valiant effort to land the homegrown talent, but Stewart ultimately committed to the Aggies. The decision to spurn Miami has apparently caused Stewart to receive some flack in his hometown.
In last year’s matchup, Stewart assisted on 4 tackles and had 1 solo. In this year’s matchup, ESPN’s FPI predicts a close game, with the Canes having a 52.7% implied win probability.
The teams will kick off from Miami on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
