He’s a viable target every time Ole Miss breaks the huddle, except the Rebels didn’t go to him much in the first half last week against Auburn.
Not surprisingly, Auburn jumped out to a 10-3 and went to halftime tied at 10.
When Ole Miss needed Treadwell most, Chad Kelly delivered him the ball, and Treadwell delivered results.
He caught three balls to set up the Rebels’ go-ahead score, and then accounted for the final margin on a terrific pitch and catch in the fourth quarter.
Ole Miss came out in its 3-1 receiver set, with Treadwell in isolation to the left of the formation, matched up against Carlton Davis with a one-high safety over top.
Davis is 6-1, 180, good size for a corner, but no match physically for the 6-3, 220-pound Treadwell.
