My Picks for Georgia-Alabama
Carson Beck, Georgia QB: Higher than 0.5 pass yards
This is a no-brainer. You, my dear reader, could throw for 1 yard in a college football game. All it takes is a quick snap and a shovel pass to a receiver in motion. (This is only a slight exaggeration.) Beck is a much, much better thrower of footballs than you or I, fortunately. He should clear 1 passing yard with ease. Preferably in the first quarter.
Oscar Delp, Georgia TE: Lower than 2.5 receptions
Delp hasn’t been a huge part of the Georgia offense so far this year. Catching 2 passes against Kentucky a couple of weeks ago represented a season high for Delp. If this Georgia team struggles at all in Tuscaloosa, Delp will likely get lost in the shuffle. I expect him to finish this game shy of 3 catches.
Ryan Williams, Alabama WR: Higher than 48.5 receiving yards
Ryan Williams has been incredible as a freshman so far this year. Even against an elite Georgia defense, I expect Williams to get loose for one big gain. Based on the way he’s going this year, he could reach 49 receiving yards with only 1 catch. I’ll take a flyer on that.
