Slow-motion video shows Mac Jones was likely the victim of terrible luck on Monday Night Football

Mac Jones threw an interception on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears, but new video that has emerged in slow-motion form revealed that he was likely the victim of brutal luck.
PFF’s Doug Kyed shared the video on social media and it reveals that the football appears to make contact with the SkyCam’s wire and its course is altered. According to the NFL rulebook, per MassLive, it should have been a dead ball with the down replayed:
“If a loose ball in play strikes a video board, guide wire, sky cam, or any other object, the ball will be dead immediately, and the down will be replayed at the previous spot.”
A Bills fan here found that Mac Jones’ interception might have hit the SkyCam wire. I slowed the video down as much as possible. Also not sure how much it actually affected things if it did hit the wire, but it’s interesting. https://t.co/4MMgfftt6m pic.twitter.com/OLMpgnsmLg

Is it just me or did Mac Jones’ INT hit the line that the sky cam is attached to? Wasn’t underthrown by much. This HAD to affect it. Sorry baht it. #Patriots pic.twitter.com/zMC0tncJKC

Jones went 3-for-6 passing for 13 yards and was later benched for Bailey Zappe in a 33-14 loss to the Bears.
