Monday night’s broadcast of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Alabama and Ohio State is an interesting one for ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit.

Herbstreit notably played at Ohio State and 1 of his sons just committed to the Buckeyes. But, as many Big Ten fans tell you (or yell at you about), there’s a perceived SEC bias from ESPN.

So, it was always going to be a long night when it comes to reaction to Herbstreit’s broadcast. As you can see below, fans had plenty to say about the analyst’s first-half performance (some fair, some simply a way for frustrated fans to vent):

You’ll notice Herbstreit is catching heat from both Alabama and Ohio State fans, so that usually means he’s doing a good job of being unbiased.

We’ll see how the second half goes, but we’re sure he’ll continue to be talked about on social media.
