Social media reacts to Georgia’s dominance as Bulldogs hammer Clemson

The Week 1 contest between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers was a close one at first in a low-scoring, defensive matchup.
But offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s halftime adjustments could not have paid off any better, helping power the way to a 34-3 victory. It marks Georgia’s 11th consecutive season-opening win.
Georgia outscored Clemson 28-3 in the second half after walking into the locker room with a 6-0 lead, just two field goals for the Bulldogs. If anything, Clemson’s stale offense and inability to capitalize in the transfer portal seemed to be the things that stood out most in the game.
Social media had plenty to say about the way Clemson faltered and the manner in which quarterback Carson Beck seemed to turn on the jets, showing exactly why he is the best quarterback in the country:
Clemson used to be Georgia not that long ago. Through stubbornness and inability to adapt, Dabo Swinney has done this to his program. You could see today coming three years ago and he never did anything to change the course.

Week 1 Takeaways (vs Clemson)
– I believe we have the best defense in the country, even though Clemsons offense is still mid
– Carson Beck proved he’s the best passer in the country yet again, he just needs more opportunities
– KJ and Ellis are gonna be scary
– Frazier is him— JØRDAN (@3_jordanhall) August 31, 2024
Georgia clearly showed why it is the No. 1 team heading into the 2024 season. Clemson, meanwhile, did not look like a team that can compete to win a conference championship.
However, it’s still early, so Dabo Swinney and the Tigers have time to turn things around after this nonconference loss. They’ll need to be much better moving forward, though, or 2 other teams will be playing in the ACC Championship Game in December.
