The weather on the East Coast has been brutal for college football all day on Saturday. Many of the early games were delayed during the game, and playing conditions haven’t been the best all throughout the day.

At South Carolina, the pregame Gamecock Walk was canceled because of the weather issues in Columbia.

There has been lightning issues in South Carolina throughout the day, with the weather still being overcast.

The Gamecocks will be looking to pick up their first win of the 2023 season. Last week, South Carolina lost to North Carolina, 31-17.

Quarterback Spencer Rattler was solid in the game, and was 30-of-39 for 353 yards. While he didn’t throw any touchdowns, he also did a good job of taking care of the ball without an interception.

However, he was running for his life the entire day, as North Carolina sacked him 9 times. Saturday night’s game will be big to see if the Gamecocks have fixed any of those offensive line issues. If they don’t, it could be a sign of bad things to come, because South Carolina travels to Athens next week to take on 2-time defending champion and No. 1 Georgia.
