After 3 years at South Carolina, Vincent Murphy is going to be on the move.

On Monday, Murphy announced that he has entered the NCAA transfer portal and will be leaving the Gamecocks prior to the 2022 season. He still has 3 yards of eligibility remaining.

Murphy played in 1 game while redshirting in 2019, then played in only 2 games in 2020. This season, he played in 8 games and provided depth at both center and guard.

A former 3-star recruit out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Murphy could have plenty of interested suitors, as he brings depth and experience across the offensive line. His ability to play multiple positions could prove valuable to a program.

Meanwhile, South Carolina will have to try to replace that depth up front prior to the 2022 season.
