South Carolina players say Clemson used racial slurs toward them on the field

It didn’t take long for things to get testy during Saturday night’s rivalry game between Clemson and South Carolina.
The two teams got into a scuffle before kickoff and didn’t let up, even though the Tigers cruised to an easy 56-7 home victory.
However, according to The State, South Carolina players like LB Bryson Allen-Williams were upset after the game, alleging that Clemson players were using racial slurs on the field:
“They used the n-word, one of their offensive linemen. I don’t know which number,” Allen-Williams said. “We are going to get our get-back. We definitely have this game circled next year.”
WR Terry Googer also heard slurs from fans, tweeting his admonishment after the game:
Never thought I would hear so many racial slurs in my life!! Classless is not a strong enough word to describe the actions!

Those are serious allegations that need to be looked into by the NCAA and Clemson officials.
It’s likely it will be hard to prove the Gamecocks’ accusations either true or untrue, but there’s no place in college football for racial slurs to be used on the field of play.
