South Carolina has used a little bit of everything against Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl.
Things took a turn in favor of the Gamecocks mid-way through the 4th quarter. Down 38-31 with Notre Dame driving, Gamecocks defensive back O’Donnell Fortune intercepted Tyler Buchner in the end zone and returned it for the touchdown. It was Buchner’s second interception of the game. The first was also returned for a touchdown in the first half.
That momentum changing interception just happens to the be longest interception touchdown return in Gator Bowl history.

Why Notre Dame was even thinking about passing in that situation is beyond us.
Fortune’s pick-6 tied the game at 38 with just under 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
