South Carolina sees veteran defensive back announce entry into transfer portal

South Carolina is down a veteran defensive back to the transfer portal after veteran defensive back Joey Hunter announced he was looking for a change of scenery.
In the announcement, he thanked South Carolina and his teammates for his home there and creating a good environment.
Hunter saw action in 4 games as a true freshman in 2020 as South Carolina maintained his redshirt and he got to the field 2 times in 2021 before his season ended with a left shoulder injury. This past season, he played in 3 games but did not etch anything onto the stats sheet.
With this, Hunter joins 2 other South Carolina football players in the transfer portal, now alongside offensive lineman Jordan Davis and defensive back R.J. Roderick.
