True freshman Speedy Noil (MCL) was supposed to miss at least three weeks, according to at least one media report, after injuring his knee against Rice.
Two weeks later, he took a handoff 10 yards in the first quarter. He’s not returning punts or kicks, but his presence on the field is a boost for Texas A&M against a game Arkansas defense.
Noil, a five-star recruit, had 12 catches for 197 yards in the first three games of the season, playing even better on special teams.
He didn’t get a target in the first quarter, but he and TE Cameron Clear’s presence on the field returns some of Kenny Hill’s best targets to the quiver.
I am hearing Speedy Noil will play on offense only … No kick returns. But his recovery called, "miraculous."
