Spencer Rattler looks forward to ‘fun’ matchup against Drake Maye

One of the marquee games in college football in Week 1 is when No. 21 North Carolina and South Carolina square off in Charlotte.
Besides the fact that of the close proximity of these states, the game features 2 of the very best quarterbacks in all of college football.
North Carolina’s Drake Maye is regarded by some as the No. 2 prospect in the 2024 draft, while South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler is looking more like the guy who exploded onto the scene at Oklahoma.
While getting extremely excited for that matchup would be easy to do, Rattler’s main focus is on getting the win with his teammates.

Rattler’s confidence should be very high as he ended the 2022 season in very good fashion. In the last 3 games, the Gamecocks went 2-1 (All against Top 18 teams), and Rattler threw for 1,044 yards, 10 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
If he is able to build off that end of season stretch this year, then it has a chance to be a special year at South Carolina.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm in Charlotte.
