One look at the 2015 All-SEC first team is enough to remind you of an old recruiting adage:

The people who say stars don’t matter usually don’t have any next to their name.

It’s safe to say the 2015 All-SEC first team was a star-studded group of recruits.

Eleven of the 27 players were five-star prospects coming out of high school using the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Leonoard Fournette was the No. 1 prospect overall in 2014. Myles Garrett was ranked No. 2 in that class. Garrett is one of four 5-star prospects on the defensive line.

The breakdown:

11: 5-star prospects
7: 4-star prospects
8: 3-star prospects
1: 2-star prospect

Poor Drew Kaser. Punters never get any love from the recruitniks.

Twelve first-teamers come from the star-heavy Class of 2013, and nine were rated as the top players at their position in their respective classes.
