Arkansas picked up an in-state commitment for its 2018 recruiting class on Sunday evening.

Billy Ferrell, a Fordyce, Ark. native (Fordyce High School), announced via Twitter that he is ready to sign up as a Razorback.

“I’m thankful for all the offers I have received,” Ferrell said. “I’ve made my decision, and I will be continuing my education and football career at the University of Arkansas, GO HOGS!!!”

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 331 pounds, Ferrell is a solid, 3-star defensive tackle pickup for the Hogs. The 247Sports Composite has him listed as one of the Top 100 players at his position nationwide. He’s also listed as the No. 9 prospect in Arkansas.

Ferrell had one other SEC offer — from Alabama — in addition to offers from Louisville, Memphis and Wisconsin.

He took an official visit to Arkansas over the weekend, which seemed to be enough for head coach Chad Morris to get him to stay in-state.

Here’s what Ferrell tweeted on Sunday:
