Stetson Bennett draws praise on social media following dazzling opening half vs. TCU
Stetson Bennett continues to amaze.
The Georgia QB had a phenomenal 2022 season in leading his team to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, and he was simply sensational in the 1st half against TCU.
Bennett.completed 13-of-17 passes in the opening 30 minutes for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns, becoming the first Bulldogs signal caller to surpass 4,000 passing yards in a season in the process.
He also racked up 39 rushing yards and 2 additional scores in the opening half.

Add it all up and the Bulldogs lead 38-7 at halftime and are now 30 minutes away from a 15-0 season and a 2nd consecutive national championship.
While Georgia had a number of players deliver exceptional performances in the 1st half, Bennett was the story, as he has been much of the season.
And college football fans were quick to acknowledge on social media his impressive play in the 1st half:
Stetson Bennett, with 2 passing and 2 rushing TDs, has had an all-time great national championship game in a half.

Stetson Bennett is going to finish his career with an Orange Bowl MVP, Peach Bowl MVP and two-time National Championship MVP, and people still think he didn’t even deserve to be a Heisman finalist.
Underappreciation doesn’t even describe this man anymore.

Stetson Bennett should absolutely be drafted higher than he will be. Dude is a player. Reminds me of Drew Brees with more mobility. Hello @Colts
