The Texas Longhorns have a quintessential trap game on tap vs. UTSA on Saturday. Head coach Steve Sarkisian‘s team faces the Roadrunners fresh off a miracle comeback victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes, and prior to a trip to Knoxville for a matchup with the No. 15 Tennessee Volunteers in their first SEC game of the year next weekend.

Nobody envies the Longhorns’ position. Every other team in the country would love to have a win vs. Ohio State on its ledger. Every Power 4 school would also lavish a home game with an AAC team coming off the high of that triumph. Not everything is perfect for Texas, though. On Thursday, Steve Sarkisian revealed running back Derrek Cooper would return this weekend, but that tight end Nick Townsend would not battle UTSA.

Townsend, a sophomore from Houston, picked up a knee injury on punt coverage in the third quarter vs. the Buckeyes. Cooper hurt his ankle in the Longhorns’ season opener with Texas State and missed the Ohio State contest due to the ailment.

Nobody on Texas’ offense really lit up the box score in Week 2. The whole unit hopes to change against UTSA on Saturday night (8:00 p.m. E.T., SEC Network+).
