Steve Spurrier and a Gainesville brewery have collaborated to provide a new beverage for Florida fans in The Swamp.
The Head Ball Coach and Gainesville’s First Magnitude brewery have introduced Head Beer Coach 1966 American Lager.
First Mag describes the beer as follows:
This brew is bold and uncompromising, just like Steve Spurrier himself. Crisp and refreshing in all kinds of weather. Brewed by Gators, for Gators, but tasty enough to please any beer drinker, no matter who they root for on Saturdays.

First Magnitude says the beer will be available at most in-stadium concession stands at Florida home games. A ticket to see the Gators is not required, however, to check out Spurrier’s namesake beer. The lager will also be available in Gainesville at First Mag’s tap room and Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille restaurant and rooftop bar, Visors.
Many Florida alumni will be flocking to Gainesville for the Gators’ season opener against No. 7 Utah on Saturday.
