Taylen Green delivers flying knee to Auburn defender during incredible hurdle attempt

Taylen Green may have just had the play of the game (at least so far) in the Saturday matchup between the Auburn Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
It’s not necessarily as much of how solid of a play it was (despite the fact it did indeed move the chains) as how mildly alarming it was. And if there’s one thing that he made clear, he’s not super into sliding. On a second-down play that ended in a first-down run for Arkansas, the Green looked like he was going to hurdle a defender.
Instead, he simply delivered a flying knee to him. Not great for either party. Here’s a look at the play:

Arkansas and Auburn currently remain tied in a scoreless game midway through the first quarter. Green hasn’t had the best day so far through the air, 2-for-7 passing with just 4 passing yards to his name.
It’s still early with a lot of football to be played, but it’s probably best for all involved that Green involve sliding in his game.
