Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Michigan State have more in common than playing in the College Football Playoff this season.
They’re among nine Power Five teams to have five double-digit win seasons in the last seven years. The others are Wisconsin, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and Florida State.
LSU was one win away this year with its season opener against McNeese State canceled by lightning. The Tigers had 44 wins in four seasons from 2010-13. Georgia had four of those seasons over that six-year span.
Alabama’s done it with only two seasons with as many as three losses.
Oklahoma (36) and Alabama (35) have the most 10-win seasons across the country.
