The Tennessee Volunteers Neyland Stadium opening game time is set. The Vols will take on Austin Peay at 5 p.m. ET.

The Governors and Vols have only met once in 2013. Tennessee won that game 45-0.

This game comes after the Vols open the season in Nashville against the Virginia Cavaliers. That game will be played at Nissan Stadium.

Tennessee will be also tested early in the season, when the Vols make a trip to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators. That is followed up by a three-week stretch of games at Neyland Stadium with UTSA, South Carolina and Texas A&M all coming to town.

Volunteers also have Georgia at home this season, in addition to Vanderbilt for the final home game of the season. This all comes after the Vols went 11-2 last season and won the Orange Bowl, 31-14, over the Clemson Tigers.

Josh Heupel’s team will meet with the media in Nashville on Thursday. He is bringing along quarterback Joe Milton, defensive lineman Omari Thomas and tight end Jacob Warren to SEC Media Days.

The Volunteers will likely be picked to finish second in the SEC East, behind Georgia. South Carolina and Kentucky are also expected to be in competition for the East.
