Konanbanny is the 302nd-ranked player in the cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the 4th-ranked player in the state of South Carolina and the 28th-ranked cornerback in the class.
But here’s the unique thing about Konanbanny — the 6-foot-1, 180-pound stud is still very new to the game of football. He was born in France and lived in London before moving to the United States. For much of his life, Konanbanny’s sporting passion was rooted in the sport of soccer, like so many kids who grow up in England.
Konanbanny chose the SEC and Tennessee over FSU, LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and many other big-time programs. He has been described as raw, having not played the game for very long, but the Volunteers are glad to have him.
Tennessee now has 24 commitments in its 2025 class and 4 cornerbacks — Konanbanny, Tre Poteat, Tyler Redmond and Dylan Lewis. Tennessee’s class ranks No. 6 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Here are Konanbanny’s highlights from his junior season:
