Slaughter, a defensive back listed at 6-2, 197 pounds, has appeared in 23 games over the past 2 seasons. He is set to be a true junior in the 2025 season.
In 2023, Slaughter played in all 13 games as a true freshman. He mostly saw time on special teams.
Slaughter again contributed to special teams in 2024. He also logged defensive snaps as a sophomore, snagging the first interception of his career in the Volunteers’ win over UTEP.
Slaughter arrived on Rocky Top out of Southaven (Mississippi) High School. As a prospect, he was rated 3-stars, the No. 13 player in the state of Mississippi, No. 56 safety and No. 599 player overall in the Class of 2023. He also picked up offers from Kentucky, Florida State, Mississippi State and Ole Miss during his original recruitment.
