Tennessee may be close to securing another elite prospect in the 2024 class.

Jordan Ross, an edge out of Vestavia Hills High School, is currently ranked as the No. 37 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 4 Edge on the 247Sports Composite. Per Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, the Vols should be considered favorites to land the elite blue-chip edge-rusher. Ross recently published his list of four finalists, including Tennessee, Florida, Texas, and Alabama.

Wiltfong stated that Tennessee has been the favorite “for quite some time,” owing to Ross being impressed with the coaching staff and fanbase.

The Vols currently boast the 11th-ranked class in 2024 and adding Ross would only further solidify the group.

Ross is set to announce his decision on Monday, Aug. 21.
