Tennessee hosted its “Orange Carpet Day” recruiting event on Saturday, where 2017 three-star DE Tre Lawson gave his commitment to the Volunteers.

Lawson, a 6-f00t-6, 247 pounder, is a native of North Augusta, South Carolina, and was a big target of the in-state Gamecocks.
According to GoVols247, Lawson is the 11th member of the Volunteers’ 2017 class. He’s the No. 14 strong-side defensive end prospect in his class.
Lawson also had offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Kentucky.
