Tennessee players emerge shirtless for warmups ahead of kickoff vs. Ohio State

Tennessee football apparently heard all the chatter from Buckeye nation regarding the temperature at The Shoe.

The Vols face off against No. 8 Ohio State in just under an hour, and the temperature in Columbus is sitting at a chilly 25 degrees. And that’s the warmest it’s going to be all night.

Knoxville, TN is only about 6 hours south of Columbus, and its elevation means that it is fairly cold during the winter months. In other words, Tennessee knows how to deal with the cold. This time around, the Vols seem to be sending a message.

Cold is just a mindset.

Tennessee is going to have its hands full tonight against a really talented Ohio State squad. Especially on the road, where Tennessee has struggled mightily this season, with losses at both Arkansas and Georgia.

Expect the Vols to lean on their defense against Will Howard, TreVeyon Henderson and the Buckeyes. Ohio State’s offense, when they’re really clicking, might be one of the best units in the country – especially at wideout with Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith. Jermod McCoy, Tennessee’s star CB, will need to have a big game Saturday night.

Kickoff for Vols at Buckeyes is set for 8 p.m. on ABC. Let’s check in on Tennessee fans at The Shoe:
