After Tennessee’s win at Georgia on Tuesday night, it was revealed that freshman guard Zakai Zeigler was playing with a heavy heart.

His family’s home in Queens, New York, was destroyed in a house fire. Zeigler’s mother was raising Zakai’s 4-year-old nephew with special needs in the home, and all of the accessibility equipment was also destroyed.

On Wednesday, Tennessee set up a GoFundMe for Zeigler. Vol fans wasted no time coming to the aid of the talented freshman and his family, raising the $50,000 goal in all of 35 minutes. As you can see at the link below, the fundraiser is already over $75,000 and is still less than an hour old:

What an incredible gesture from Tennessee fans.

Per the GoFundMe page, the Zeigler family is considering relocating to Knoxville to be closer to Zakai and the community that has supported him so much.
