It’s a massive clash for the Tennessee Volunteers. It’s a chance at redemption as well for the No. 17 Vols, as they head up to the Steel City to take on the No. 17 Pittsburgh Panthers.
This is a chance for Tennessee to prove that it’s more than just hype. The 59-10 win over Ball State was a nice appetizer, but this game against Pitt – which beat West Virginia 38-31 in Week 1 – is a chance for the Volunteers to prove that they’re for real.
It’s a big game. It’s going to be fire, as the kids say.
It’s also apparently going to be icy, as the kids say because the Vols are going to be trotting out in some slick white-on-white away jerseys.

With Akron up next on the slate, this is Tennessee’s best chance to prove itself as a legitimate Top 25 team before hosting the Florida Gators and kicking off the SEC schedule in late September.
