Video: Tennessee wide receiver Josh Smith makes awesome one-handed catch
After winning six straight games to end the 2015 season — by an average of 22.2 points, mind you — and returning 18 starters from that team to the field this spring, Tennessee is likely to be considered the favorite to win the SEC East Division come this fall.
Redshirt junior Josh Smith is one of the many reasons the Volunteers are projected to fare well in 2016, potentially serving as a legitimate College Football Playoff contender. On Tuesday, Smith was recorded by Fox Sports Knoxville’s Charlie Burns, who captured the 6-foot-1, 215-pound hometown product making this impressive one-handed catch during practice:

Sure, he was uncovered, but it’s certainly a strong representation of the overall talent and athleticism that Tennessee possesses within its skill corps.
Smith recorded 23 receptions for 307 yards and two touchdowns last season. It wouldn’t be a stretch to assume those numbers will see an increase in 2016.
