Last weekend’s crazy finish between Tennessee and Georgia will certainly go down in the books as one of the most fantastic endings one will see in a football game.
The back-and-forth nature of the game — coupled with the heart-stopping finish truly made it magnificent.
As for Tennessee OC Mike DeBord, this actually isn’t his first up-close-and-personal experience when it comes to a last-second Hail Mary conversion.

One has to look back at the Colorado-Michigan game in 1994. On that fateful day against the Wolverines, Buffs’ signal-caller Kordell Stewart chucked a Hail Mary — which was ultimately caught by Michael Westbrook. The 64-yard score was dubbed the “Miracle at Michigan” — giving Colorado the 27-26 victory.
Ironically enough, DeBord was the offensive line coach at the time for Michigan. Suffice it to say, but he’s surely happy to now be on the winning side of this situation.
