After a slow start to 2015, Tennessee won six straight to close the season, including three against SEC East opponents. That makes the Volunteers 386-241-33 against teams currently in the SEC.
A loss to Arkansas and a win over South Carolina made the Gamecocks the team Tennessee has the second-best winning percentage against in the conference behind Texas A&M. Tennessee also won its first game all time against Missouri, and slipped deeper into a hole against arch-rival Alabama.
A win over Georgia not only moved Tennessee ahead of the Bulldogs in the all-time series, but it meant Tennessee has the same winning percentage against Georgia and Auburn.
