Tennessee defensive quality control assistant Terry Fair will join Mike Bobo’s staff at Colorado State, Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans reported Tuesday. Fair was hired by Butch Jones’ in January 2013 after serving as a defensive backs coach for three years at Phoenix College. He also spent eight years in the NFL.

His position at Colorado State has yet to be announced. Fair is a former four-year starter at Tennessee, where he played from 1994-97. The Phoenix native was a two-time All-SEC honoree in 1996 and 1997 and ranks tied for seventh all-time in UT history with 30 passes defended (19 PBU, 11 INT).
