Texas A&M has made it official: Tyler Santucci is the Aggies’ new linebackers coach.
Santucci’s College Station reunion with Mike Elko was reported a week ago and made official Thursday. Santucci previously worked under Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko at Wake Forest (2014-15) and Notre Dame (2017), in addition to previously serving as a defensive analyst (2018) in College Station during Elko’s time running the Aggie defense.
After Santucci worked with the Texas A&M staff as a defensive analyst in 2018, he returned to Wake Forest in 2019 as the Demon Deacons’ linebackers coach. Wake Forest LB Justin Strnad earned All-ACC honors this past season under Santucci’s coaching.
Veteran SEC assistant Bradley Dale Peveto coached the Texas A&M linebackers during the past two seasons. The team has not made any official announcement regarding his status.
Welcome back to Aggieland, @CoachSantucci!
