Texas A&M is known for its student section, and overall fan experience, at Kyle Field. This year, there’s been a record turn out even beyond the expected fans.
The nation’s largest student section will be sold out for the 2022 season, the 12th Man Foundation announced. It came after nearly 37,000 student sports passes were sold, which is a record for the current configuration of Kyle Field and about 1,000 more than a year ago. The only year Texas A&M has surpassed this number came in 2014 during the stadium’s renovation, and capacity grew to 107,000.
The Aggies open with Sam Houston, and then play Appalachain State and Miami at Kyle Field. After a game in Arlington against Arkansas, road games against Mississippi State, Alabama and South Carolina, and a bye week, the Aggies return to Kyle Field to face Ole Miss, Florida, UMass and LSU, as the final road game is at Auburn on Nov. 12.
The student section is unique in college stadiums, as it stretches end zone to end zone across all 3 decks.
