Texas A&M earned a major recruiting victory on Thursday.
The Aggies picked up a commitment from 4-star tight end Eric Karner. He chose Texas A&M over Alabama, Florida, Michigan State, Iowa and several other top programs.

Karner is a massive addition for the Aggies in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 390 overall player and the No. 21 tight end in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 9 player from the state of Illinois.
He attends Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep in Elmhurst, Illinois. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds.
Karner took his visit to Texas A&M last weekend. He initially received an offer from the Aggies back in March of 2023.
Texas A&M now has 8 commits in the class of 2024. Five of those recruits are currently regarded as 4-star prospects. The group sits at No. 38 in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
