Texas A&M fans, media react to Aggies missing out on College Football Playoff
Texas A&M was ranked No. 5 in the final College Football Playoff rankings released on Sunday morning.
The Aggies missed out in favor of Notre Dame, who lost 34-10 to Clemson in the ACC title game on Saturday. Ohio State, who played only six games all season, also got in over A&M.
It’s not yet clear why the committee went with Notre Dame over A&M, but the Aggies’ pleas on Saturday clearly did not have the desired impact.
Instead, it will be Alabama-Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl and Clemson-Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Texas A&M is reportedly heading to the Orange Bowl to face North Carolina.
ACC bowls: North Carolina vs. Texas A&M to Orange Bowl, Miami to Cheez-It Bowl, NC State to Gator Bowl & Wake Forest to Duke’s Mayo Bowl, sources told @Stadium

Here’s some of the reaction from media and fans to Texas A&M being left out of the top four:
Big markets . Cable got their teams. Texas A&M got robbed by an ohio state team that played 3 scrimmages and a couple intramural games . https://t.co/PvWHRFe8ju

Joey Galloway…”who has Texas A&M played…” Texas A&M SOS is 9th compared to ND at 42nd.
Chris Fowler…”A&M hurt by not playing a game…” meanwhile OSU plays 6 total games and only 2 road games compared to A&M playing 5 road games and 9 total…

I say again, Texas A&M is the first one loss SEC school to not make the #CFBPlayoff

Texas A&M should have been in the #CFBPlayoff and congratulations to Notre Dame for maintaining its brand management. https://t.co/s09M9jmdjk

2012 Texas A&M.

“Texas A&M has no quality wins.”
All of these SEC teams that are “MEDIOCRE” in the media’s eyes would run the table in some of these other leagues. Only a few teams out of the SEC can really play in the SEC.
