The Texas A&M Aggies faced off against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at Kyle Field.
While much of the thought right now in College Station is getting back on the right track after losing to Miami, there was classy gesture by associate athletic director Alan Cannon and the Texas A&M PR staff.

The Aggies reserved a spot in the press box for former Associate Press writer Denne Freeman, who passed away in February. Freeman was a Texas A&M graduate who worked for the AP for 32 years, before retiring in 1999.
During his time as a reporter, he covered all 5 of the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowls. It was determined that he covered 1,000 baseball games, 500 NBA games and 350 NFL games. He was also a golf reporter and often would cover all four of the majors.
Before he got into covering sports, he worked for UPI where he was involved in covering the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
Freeman passed away on Feb. 4 at the age of 86. He had dealt with a series of health issues over the past few years.
