Texas A&M was hoping to come out of its bye week playing better football than it had through the first 6 games of the season.

That has not happened, however, for the Aggies at South Carolina tonight.

In fact, it has been an absolutely nightmarish start for Jimbo Fisher and A&M.

The Gamecocks’ Xavier Leggette returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdowns to get things started for South Carolina.

The Aggies then turned the ball over on their 1st 2 possessions of the game to throw gas on the fire.

Add it all up and South Carolina had a 17-0 lead less than 6 minutes into the game.

Certainly there’s a long way to go, but Fisher has been under fire this season and tonight’s start definitely won’t help the cause.

The Aggies have gotten on the board with a field goal but they still trail 17-3 midway through the opening quarter.
