Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class took a hit on Tuesday with a notable decommitment.
Xavier Tiller, a blue-chip tight end, has backed off his pledge to play in College Station for Mike Elko. Tiller announced his decommitment from Texas A&M on Tuesday via social media with the help of Hayes Fawcett of On3.
Out of Fairburn (Georgia) Langston Hughes High School, Tiller is listed as measuring 6-4, 212 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Tiller is raed 4-stars, the No. 8 tight end, No. 20 player from the Peach State and No. 130 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
In addition to Texas A&M, 28 other programs have offered Tiller a scholarship. Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas are among the other schools that have shown interest.
Auburn, though, looks to be the program behind Tiller’s decommitment from Texas A&M. Hugh Freeze and his staff continue to pursue the standout tight end. Ahead of the decommitment announcement, Tiller talked of taking a trip to The Plains.
